# Stovetop Kettle Corn The recipe for kettle corn is really easy! Here is the ratio and measurements that work well for us. ## ingredients * 3 TBSP Canola or Vegetable Oil * 1/3 Cup Popcorn Kernels * 3 TBSP Granulated Sugar * Kosher Salt (Optional) ## steps 1. Heat large stockpot with oil to medium-high heat. 2. Add sugar to the kernels. 3. When smoke is coming off the oil, add kernel mix to the pot. 4. Mix well for ~10 seconds, cover pot with lid 5. Shake the pot on the burner every ~20 seconds. 6. When popping stops, transfer to bowl and add optional kosher salt. ## notes * Makes about enough for 2 people * Carmelized sugar is very hot, make sure to let it cool slightly.
